ECB's Trichet Acknowledges Weak Growth

Today, the ECB left interest rates unchanged at 4.25% and ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet acknowledged that growth will be weak through the third quarter, suggesting that they will hold off raising interest rates in the future.

The ECB remains focused on high inflation and voiced concerns that inflation is helping unions push through demands for higher wages.
