Initial jobless claims for the week ended Dec. 18 come in at 420,000, vs. the consensus of 420,00. The prior week reading of 420,000 was revised slightly higher to 423,000.
Continuing claims for the week ended Dec. 11 come in at 4.064 million, vs. the consensus estimate of 4.105 million. The prior week reading of 4.135 million was also revised higher to 4.167 million.
