Chandran Nair: Asia Must Find New Economic Model

Hong Kong, Dec 21, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - Asia must reject the "Western economic model" of consumerism and find a new direction, one in which safe food, water and sanitation are higher priorities than acquiring cars and mobile phones, according to Chandran Nair, founder of the Hong Kong-based think tank Global Institute for Tomorrow (GIFT).Speaking ahead of the 16-17 January 2012 Asian Financial Forum (AFF), Mr Nair outlined ideas central to GIFT.
