FirstEnergy Snowstorm Outage Update

AKRON, Ohio, Nov. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- FirstEnergy is in the process of completing service restoration to customers who lost power as a result of the October 29 snowstorm.

The remaining FirstEnergy outage totals by utility include:

• Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) – The majority of the remaining 7,500 customers will be restored by midnight tonight, with the remainder restored tomorrow.

• Metropolitan Edison (Met-Ed) – The majority of the customers without power should be restored by midnight tonight, with the remainder restored tomorrow. Met-Ed has restored approximately 99% of its customers to service.
