Tom Seitz Launches Coverage on 12 U.S. Telecommunications Companies

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jefferies announced the addition of Thomas O. Seitz as a Managing Director and Equity Research Analyst covering U.S. Telecommunications companies. He is based in the firm’s New York office and today launched coverage on 12 companies, including AT&T, Century Link, Cogent Communications Group, Frontier Communications, Leap Wireless, MetroPCS, RigNet, Sprint Nextel, SureWest, tw telecom, Verizon and Windstream.

Mr. Seitz joins Jefferies’ established global research effort dedicated to Telecommunications, which includes Jerry Dellis and Ulrich Rathe, senior European telecommunications analysts, Cynthia Meng, China telecommunications analyst, and Romeo Reyes, senior U.S. leveraged credit analyst and Head of Leveraged Credit Research at Jefferies.

Jefferies’ broader Technology, Internet, Media and Telecom Equity Research team is comprised of 27 senior analysts in New York, San Francisco, London, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Tokyo covering approximately 240 stocks in the Computer Services & IT Consulting, Data Networking, Internet, Media, Software, Computer Hardware, Telecommunications Equipment, Semiconductors and Telecommunications Services industries.

Mr. Seitz brings to Jefferies nearly 20 years of experience, and joins the firm from Height Analytics, an equity research boutique firm, where he was a Managing Director covering the TMT industry. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President in Telecom Equity Research at Barclays, where he spent 10 years and was highly ranked in The Wall Street Journal “Best on the Street” analyst survey. Prior to that, he held business development roles at Worldwide Direct and MCI. He received an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
