PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Board of Directors of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: SCHN) declared a cash dividend of $0.017 per common share, payable on December 15, 2011, to shareholders of record on December 1, 2011. Schnitzer has paid a dividend every quarter since going public in November 1993.

Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of recycled ferrous metal products in the United States with 56 operating facilities located in 14 states, Puerto Rico and Western Canada.
