Education Management (EDMC) Adds $25M to Buyback, Extends Deadline

Education Management Corporation (Nasdaq: EDMC), has extended the deadline for purchases under its stock repurchase program from December 31, 2011 to June 30, 2012. The Company announced the stock repurchase program on June 11, 2010 and repurchased 15.8 million shares at a cost of $274.2 million through September 30, 2011. Under the terms of the stock repurchase program, the Company is authorized to spend up to $325.0 million to repurchase shares of common stock.
