He is the CEO of Trump Organization, a real estate development company based in New York, and founder of Trump Entertainment (TRMP). Trump Entertainment operates three casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Trump graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 with a BS in economics and a concentration in finance. He then joined his father's company, the Trump Organization, where he developed and revitalized properties in Manhattan. Unfortunately, the Trump Organization had to file for bankruptcy due to the effects of 1990 recession leaving Donald with a considerable amount of personal debt. In 1995, Trump combined his casino holdings into a public company called Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts, but the company eventually faltered due to excessive debt. Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts filed for bankruptcy in 2004 and Trump had to relinquish his CEO position, although he remains Chairman. In May 2005 the company re-emerged from bankruptcy as Trump Entertainment.
According to Forbes, Trump is worth about $3 billion. He is known for the numerous properties that bear his name, although he does not necessarily own the properties. Trump also has gained fame through his television show, The Apprentice, which aired on NBC for six separate seasons. In addition, he is part owner of The Miss Universe Organization with NBC.
